Many of our professional studies require previous design experience. If you are unsure of your skill level or experience please call 973-316-1100 so we can can help you determine if you have the required skill set.

 

Traditional Wedding Design- From consultation to installation! As a group, students will learn how to take the brides vision and turn it into reality. We start with planning, budget and pricing and move onto buying and designing until we ultimately present the finished work to the bride.

Working with Armatures - Learn to design around and use armatures for support and as a design element or accent. Armatures can been used in the smallest bouquet to the largest gallery work. Must have previous design experience.

European Influenced Design- Using special french and dutch spiral techniques learn to create fabulous hand tieds in different styles such as biedermeier, linear, and millefluer. Other topics include formal linear, parallel, and natural designs, vegetative, landscape, garden and botanical design. Must have previous design experience.

Flowers to Wear - Wristlets, boutonnieres, and combs . . . Oh My!! Create fabulous wristlets, pin corsages, floral jewelry, purse flowers and more. let your imaginations run wild. Must have previous design experience.

Beautiful-Bountiful Bows - Learn one of the most important finishes for designs, adding the bow!!!! All levels welcome.

East meets West- Using techniques and principles taken from Ikebana, learn to create wonderful sculptural pieces that can be used for weddings, events almost any occasion. We'll cover Rikka, Shoka, Nagaire, and Moribana Styles. We'll also discuss the history of Ikebana and its influence in modern design. Must have previous design experience.

  • 3 Mondays August 9th, 16th 23rd, 2010 7-9 PM $495.00

 

Traditional Cascading Bouquets- Back in fashion but much more subtle. Create a fantastic cascade in three shapes: waterfall, teardrop and natural. Must have previous design experience.

  • 2 Mondays September 13th and 20th, 2010 7-9 PM $349.00

 

Contemporary Sympathy Design- Design work that stands apart from the rest. In this course you'll learn how to create sympathy pieces that will be the envy of your competition. Must have previous design experience.

  • Monday October 25th, 2010 7-9 PM $175.00
